Dogwood 2021

August 7th & 8th
Piedmont Park
Atlanta, GA

We're Back!!!

This competition will be our first since the Covid lockdown. And we got something special to celebrate our return! This year we will be holding two world qualifying events.

Saturday, we will have the Ashley Whippet Invitational (AWI). AWI is the oldest championship competition in the sport of Disc Dog. Only the three top teams will receive invites to the AWI World Championship in Naperville, IL from our competition.

Then, on Sunday, The Greater Atlanta Dog and Disc Club will be hosting a Skyhoundz Classic. Skyhoundz is local to Atlanta and holds their World Championships in Chattanooga, TN. Only the top three teams from our competition will qualify for the World Championships.

So, what’s all this mean if you’re just a spectator? Well, if you’ve been to our competitions in the past, we would hold our Freestyle event on Saturday and our Toss & Fetch contest on Sunday, then crown the top five teams with World Final invites. This year, each day is a different competition including both, Toss & Fetch and Freestyle competitions. As a spectator, things will look mostly like they always have – only we’re crunching two days of competition into one.

Parking was $20 last year. There will be some parking available on the street for free, but space is extremely limited. Secondary parking available at Grady High School and Atlanta Botanical Garden. We’re supposed to have a golf cart supplied and will help transport.
